K. International School Tokyo, Koto-ku (East Tokyo).
K. International School Tokyo (KIST) is a firmly established, progressive school that caters to a myriad of nationalities in English. The school has a clear founding principle (similar to BFA’s own) and vision for its future. Located in the bay area of East Tokyo (Koto-ku) and easily accessible from the Shibuya-ku, Minato-ku and Shinjuku areas of Tokyo by car or train, the British Football Academy is delighted to open its doors at such a venerable location and will be operating here on Saturday afternoons.

British Football Academy sessions at KIST take place on the school’s newly astroturfed football pitch and as such we recommend that all BFA players wear football boots with molded studs or turf boots. As with all of our locations, the wearing of shin pads (guards) during football sessions is absolutely mandatory, in keeping with the British Football Academy’s Health & Safety Policies. In the event of inclement weather, sessions will be conducted in the school’s gymnasium (in which case players, parents and siblings should have a separate pair of indoor shoes to change into, so as to keep the gym clean). All BFA member children are given a uniform, which we recommend they wear during their sessions, so they are easily identifiable in all situations.
GETTING THERE
By Car
Unfortunately there is no parking available to the public at the school and those coming to the school by car (approximately 30-minute drive from Minato-ku areas (Hiroo, Roppongi, Azabu-Juban etc.) and 15-minutes from Ginza) are asked to drop their kids off (& collect them later!) or drop them off, find a public parking space in the vicinity of the school and return to watch their child’s session. For those using car navigation, the following information may be useful: (address) 135-0021, Tokyo, Koto-ku, Shirakawa 1-5-15, K. International School Tokyo. Tel: 03-3642-9993
By Train
K. International School is located only 1-minute from Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station - Exit B1 on the Toei Oedo and Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Lines (20-minutes from Shibuya/Roppongi, 15-minutes from Shinjuku). If you are using the Toei Shinjuku line get off at Morishita Station and leave via Exit A6. From there walk about 6-minutes south along Kiyosumi Dori to the intersection with Kiyosubashi Dori and turn left to find the school.
By Taxi
Ask the driver to go to Kiyosumi Shirakawa Ekimae, Exit B1, which is located on Kiyosubashi Dori (which runs east to west) or Kiyosumi Dori which runs north to south). The school is a 1-minute walk from here.
