Affable Paul Ramsay hails from Liverpool and it will come as no surprise to hear he’s a Liverpool FC fan (unless of course you’re an Everton fan!). Although as a player he didn’t reach the dizzying heights of his all-time hero; the prolific goal-scoring Kenny Dalglish, his recent football career is impressive nevertheless. Paul, until recently, played for Home & Bargain FC (don’t let the name fool you), in the English FA’s Stone Security Liverpool Business Houses (Premier) League – a league of semi-professional standard and a team that compete in the same FA Cup competition as the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United! A lottery win saw his club sponsor him to get his FA Coaching License and Referees’ License and Paul went on to coach his club’s Under-11 and Under-14 teams. As a coach Paul brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience with him and as a qualified referee (currently refereeing in the Tokyo Metropolis League) has more than a sound knowledge of the game! Paul’s calm, yet willful approach to coaching adds a superb balance to the more extraverted coaches and his love of football, combined with his love of teaching kids, makes Paul worth his weight in gold at the British Football Academy.
