Mike Yeomans since his induction in 2006 has been a diligent, highly capable coach, whose sessions have become more and more creative and decidedly more productive in terms of the key coaching points he introduces to each session and the flexible manner in which he does so – as depends on the age of the children he is coaching. Mike is quick to evaluate himself and responds well to advice from more experienced coaches and is very proactive when it comes to disseminate what he has learnt to newer coaches at the Academy. Mike has chosen coaching as his lifelong career path and it won’t be long until he’s holding his UEFA Pro license and coaching West Ham’s Under-21’s! And from there who knows? Perhaps an England Manager in waiting?! In the meantime we’re very fortunate to have this gifted, enthusiastic and conscientious coach, whose football past includes being on the books for Basildon and Aveley FC, in the UK's prestigious Ryman League. Mike currently players for Tokyo Panthers FC in the Tokyo Metropolis League’s 3rd Division and draws inspiration from the late George Best: “He was simply the most exciting player of all time.” Thankfully Mike draws no inspiration from George Best’s antics off the field!
